New Statewide Treasurer is former SUNY
President
Region V President, Jim Moore Retires -
30 Years of Service
locally prior to being elected for his first term as Region
president in 1977.

Moore's last day working at the union's Central Region
Office in East Syracuse will be on March 28. Upon his
retirement, he plans to continue his advocacy for workers
as a consultant to labor unions.

of CSEA's Statewide Treasurer, left
vacant when Maureen Malone
recently retired.

We know he'll do a great job!

Central Region V President Jim
Moore
retired March 28 after
serving an unprecedented 30
years in that office.

His union career started from
humble beginnings in 1965
when he started working for the
State of New York as an
employee of the Utica State
Hospital, now known as the
Mohawk Valley Psychiatric
Center. He quickly rose to
prominence in the union,
serving in several capacities
Ginger Sheffey Becomes Central Region President

CSEA President Danny Donohue administered the oath of
office today to Ginger Sheffey as Central Region V
President. Sheffey, formerly the region's executive vice
president, succeeds Jim Moore, who recently retired after
more than 30 years in office. Sheffey, who works for the
Cayuga County Health & Human Services Department, had
served four terms as Executive Vice President and has held
numerous other positions throughout CSEA, statewide,
regionally and locally.
